When you should use eductor mixing nozzles
Eductor nozzles, also known as jet pumps, venturi pumps or ejectors, are the easiest way to mix, heat or pump different types of liquids, gases and solids either in-line or in-tank in the petrochemical and other industries. Eductor nozzles are also used to:
l Clear sludge
l Prevent sediment
l Liquid draining
l To heat fluids in-line
l Pump in hazardous areas where electric pumps can’t be used
l Create movement in liquid
l Agitate for particle suspension
l Dilution of acid or liquids
l General mixing
l Breaking up a grease layer
l Fire protection water storage tanks
l To inject and mix chlorine, water additives, chemicals, acids, paint, coatings, platings, phosphate, dyes, pulp, fertilisers and slurries.
l To evacuate gases
l To evacuate vessels
l Create a vacuum
l Boost suction pressures
l To scrub fumes from a gas
When comparing eductor mixing nozzles with electric pumps, they have many advantages; they are small, are low in cost, and have static parts that do not move. This prevents tearing and leaking of the nozzle. Eductor nozzles are also very easy to install and clean and do not need any lubrication.
